Frequently asked questions
Bookings, opening hours, gluten-free and vegetarian options, groups and private table, parking and languages spoken at GIÀ Restaurant, Alfaz del Pí.
Do I need to book a table at GIÀ Restaurant?
Booking is strongly recommended, especially weekends and high season (June–September). We have 70 seats in the dining room, a 10-seat private table and a summer terrace. Book on WhatsApp at +34 604 40 33 84 or call the same number. The dining room regularly fills on Friday and Saturday dinner service.
Is GIÀ a traditional or contemporary Mediterranean restaurant?
Contemporary Mediterranean, not nostalgic. Chef Giancarlo Milano ran his own restaurant on the Costa Blanca for 25 years before opening GIÀ in August 2024. The menu combines classical technique with current presentation: Acquerello risotto aged one year, hand-rolled fresh pasta, carbonara without cream.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?
Yes. We have vegetarian options on the menu and prepare vegan or gluten-free versions on request — let Anne know when you sit down. Burrata D.O.P., risotti, fresh pasta (gluten-free on request) and Mediterranean starters cover the most common diets.
Who is the chef at GIÀ?
Giancarlo Milano, chef and owner. 30 years working in Mediterranean cuisine. 25 years running his own restaurant on the Costa Blanca until 2024. His work is documented in Eccellenze Italiane and Lexquisite. His wife Anne Milano runs the dining room.
What are the opening hours of GIÀ Restaurant?
Closed on Mondays. Tuesday–Saturday 13:00–15:30 and 19:00–22:30. Sundays lunch only, 13:00–15:30. We recommend booking ahead for Friday and Saturday dinner.
Is there parking near the restaurant?
Yes, free parking on the streets near Carrer l'Hort 13. Alfaz del Pí is a small village and parking next to the restaurant is usually easy even in high season.
Do you accept large groups or private events?
Yes. We have a private table for 10 people — common for birthdays, company lunches or anniversaries. For larger groups we can privatise areas of the dining room (70 seats total). Contact us on WhatsApp for a quote and availability.
What languages do you speak in the dining room?
We host in Spanish, Italian, English, German, Dutch, Russian and French. Giancarlo and Anne speak native Italian and English. The menu and website are translated into Spanish, Italian and English (Wave 1) — German, Dutch, Russian and French are in preparation.
